SCTECH2020 – Creating Your Tomorrow, Your Way


Cleveland, Ohio, USA, August 10th, 2020 - ISCEA reconfirms exciting Agenda for upcoming SCTECH2020 Conference.

Day 1: Digital Transformation and Strategy

Dr. Ednilson Bernardes (Professor of Supply Chain Management and Global Supply Chain Program Coordinator, West Virginia University; IISB - ISCEA International Standards Board Member; and Book Author) will be taking the audience to the world of tomorrow and help them to understand how the industry may look like in 5 to 10 years from now. The participants will be guided through thoughtful discussions with outstanding experts for strategy implementation. They will explain how to accelerate the use of potential modern technology accordingly. Moving forward, Dr. Bram Desmet (CEO and Managing Director Belgium, Solventure; Book author) will provide his insights on how strategic decisions affect the supply chain and refer to the framework of the supply chain triangle.

Day 2: Customer Relationship, Demand Planning & Risk Management

Dr. Marcell Vollmer (Partner and Director, Boston Consulting Group, BCG); ISCEA International Standards Board Member – IISB – TC (Technology Committee) will talk about the need for CRM and how to leverage potential with latest technology developments. Attendees will learn how to overcome traditional challenges in Demand Planning and making use of AI and ML accordingly, with well-known experts Dyci Manns Sfregola (Anaplan Consultant Supply Chain), Sven F. Crone (CEO, Iqast; Lecturer, Lancaster University Management School), and Timur Gostik (Supply & Demand Planning Director, Kao Corporation). Also, we will have a discussion and share best practices about technology that supports successful Risk Management in the Airline Industry with Martha Lumatete (Supply Chain Technology Business Partner, Southwest Airlines) and best-selling book author Daniel Stanton, “Mr. Supply Chain”. Participants will also understand the need for Cyber Security and its successful implementation shared by worldwide-known TEDx Speaker and ISM 30under30 Megawatt Winner 2017, Charlotte Annabelle de Brabandt. 

Day 3: Manufacturing, Organization & Integration

Participants will learn what steps to take in order to integrate modern systems for supporting and improving Supply Chain with Dr. Cynthia Kalina-Kaminsky (President Supply Chain Innovation and Transformation, Process and Strategy Solutions PLLC; IISB – ISCEA International Standards Board Member). We will discuss the need for SCM on C-Level and will share best practices in technology like control towers with Tim Charlton(Associate Director, XAct Solutions) accordingly. Attendees will gain insights into integration of finance in IBP, the way forward and advantages of cryptocurrencies, and blockchain for business planning and steering with Robert Kepczynski (Supply Chain and Operations Director, IBP capability lead, EY Switzerland; Book author, Practitioner) and Massimo Buonomo (UN Global Expert on Blockchain, fintech, regtech, cryptocurrency (UNAOC); Global Impact FinTech (GIFT) Forum – Global Advisory Board Member; ISCEA International Standards Board Member – IISB – TC (Technology Committee)). We will reveal how to ensure Business Continuity Planning as a cornerstone of Governance best practices. Further, we will discuss how employees should be taken along with on the journey of digital transformation. Speakers will be SCDE Supply & Demand Chain Executive - Top100 2020 Jonathon Karelse , CEO Northfind Management and Damodar Hedge, Head of Supply Chain Learning, Coca Cola European Partners. Furthermore, we will share best practices in Industry 4.0 and SMART manufacturing along with a panel discussion accordingly.

Day 4: Sustainability, Transportation & Supply

Danny Weinberger, CEO of Morpheus Network, will introduce attendees to the latest state-of-the-art advantages of Blockchains in logistics for imports and exports. Furthermore, attendees will learn how algorithms can support and optimize last mile transportation. These practices lead to fostering sustainability, presented by Carrypicker, a fantastic German startup. Last mile distribution is the reflection of the continuously growing activities in Ecommerce. Nabil Malouli (VP and Global Ecommerce Lead, DHL Supply Chain) will provide latest insights and possibilities for optimization accordingly. Also, participants will receive the latest news of UN Global Compact Implementation Initiative for SDG Ambition with Ann Rosenberg of UN Partnerships. In addition, panel discussions about responsibility and leveraging technology for Procurement, Warehousing, Transportation and Supply will occur on Day 4.
