Supply chain professional with over 20 years of experience in advanced global supply chain operations. He has held many senior leadership functions in Europe and the United States, including JD Edwards, Real Software, Terra Technology, and E2OPEN.
Over the last ten years, Piet pioneered Demand Sensing, the first demand-related AI application, working with companies like P&G, Unilever, Shell, Mars, and Merck. From this experience, he founded Garvis in 2020, during the pandemic. There, leveraging Gen AI, he launched the market’s first AI demand planning solution able to create a digital language to translate the outside world into actionable insights in demand planning. Garvis grew to more than 70+ customers in less than three years and was acquired by Logility in 2023, integrating the power of an AI solution across Logility’s platform solutions.

Tania Snioch is Director Global Migration to 2D Programme at GS1 Global Office. In this role, Tania is responsible for the development and deployment of the Global Migration to 2D programme, working in partnership with GS1 Member Organisations, sector leadership, public policy, and subject matter expert teams to support industry and ensure pervasive adoption of 2D barcodes.
Prior to her current role, Tania was the GS1 Global Director Healthcare Operations for 9 years, and before this, spent 15 years in various roles at GS1 Australia. Tania has an Honors degree in Biomedical Science from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
PHIL ARCHER

Phil Archer joined GS1 - the standards body behind the barcode - in July 2017 to bring an in-depth knowledge of the Web to the world of supply chains for retail, healthcare, and more. Early projects include Mobile Ready Hero Images (product images optimized for display on small screens to users with zero attention span), expanding GS1's extension to the schema.org vocabulary, and most fundamentally, GS1 Digital Link. That's the standard that embeds GS1 identifiers within Web URIs, making products first-class citizens of the Web. These projects and more draw on his long experience at W3C, the industry standards body for the World Wide Web.

A digital visionary, innovator, and author. David Palmer is the Chief Product Officer and co-founder of the Pairpoint by Vodafone IoT and Web3 platform Digital Asset Broker (DAB). He is a board member of the Asia Web3 Alliance and the author of a new book entitled “The Business of the Metaverse – How Organisations Can Optimize the Opportunities of Web3 and AI.”

Ednilson Bernardes founded and led the Global Supply Chain Management Program at West Virginia University. Before academia, he worked in military transport aviation and the innovative aerospace industry. His research appears in top empirical journals in his field. Besides research, he has led innovation and performance improvement initiatives in large organizations such as WVU Hospital and the DEA.
Ednilson has served on various Boards and advised government officials on supply chain issues. He has delivered talks and seminars globally and co-authored books, including "Digital Supply Network." Currently, he leads transformation and digitization projects in the industry and has been an entrepreneur.

Dr. SARA ELZARKA

Prof. Sara Elzarka is the Dean of the College of Business of Effat University in Saudi Arabia and was previously Dean of the International Transport and Logistics Institute and a Professor of Supply Chain Management in Egypt. She is a board member of the International Supply Chain Education Alliance ISCEA - EMEA region, the Egyptian Company for Metro Management & Operations, and a freelance consultant for the EIB (European Investment Bank) and the EU Commission on projects in the field of transport and logistics in the MENA region.
Prof. Elzarka has published several research topics on supply chain skills, competencies, and distribution. Her current research focuses on logistics and supply chain management skills and competencies, as well as green supply chain management practices.

Echo VanderWal leads The Luke Commission, an NGO delivering compassionate, comprehensive healthcare to underserved people in the Kingdom of Eswatini through over 300,000 patient visits annually. Echo earned a bachelor’s degree in biology (summa cum laude) from Cedarville University in 1996. After completing training as a physician assistant at Kettering College of Medical Arts, Echo practiced in surgery until the birth of her triplet sons in 2001, then ran a successful real estate development company.
In 2004, after witnessing the devastation of untreated HIV, Echo and her husband Harry, a doctor, moved to Eswatini and founded TLC. With deep compassion, leadership acumen, business sense, and a servant’s heart, Echo advocates at the highest levels for the health and development of Eswatini, championing the robust use of technology and innovation to serve the most vulnerable. Harry and Echo reside full-time in Eswatini with their family of seven children and one grandchild.

Joannes is an engineer with Corps des Mines France and taught software engineering at Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS Paris) for six years, where he is also an alumnus. Before entering academia and founding Lokad, Joannes worked in America, starting his career at AT&T Labs in New Jersey.
